How We do It.
About This Project
As part of our Women’s Empowerment Program, Mama Molo’s goal was to create a true social business that elevated women through education, skills creation and employment opportunities to improve their lives and those of their families.
Hand Made by MAMA MOLO
An additional layer to the Mama Molo project was Hand made by Mama Molo, a social impact brand that was established to showcase and build a marketplace for artisan products, handmade by more than 50 women working together in weaving groups in rural Kenya.
Following our Sustainability Plan, the Hand Made by MAMA MOLO team is now empowered with both the sewing skills and the business — this means they are able to continue to generate their own income, while also providing and creating new opportunities for their community.

About This Project
Chazon Africa Family Empowerment program exists to empower families to care for and educate their children in the long term, by simultaneously tackling social and economic barriers to education. Our work with families to build their source of income for their children’s care, combines practical business training and mentoring, access to saving schemes and in some cases, cash grants.
Mavuno Empowerment project
Mavuno Empowerment Project runs training days four times a year, impacting over 400 local farmers, students and parents from the surrounding communities.
To continue to support the wider community through education on improved farming practices which will result in improved food security and economic stability for the communities in Molo.
Mavuno is a demonstration farm that focuses on cultivating crops to train the local farmers, parents and students in improved agricultural practices. This training aims to improve the capacity and economic stability of the community.
Our main customers of farm produce are the surrounding local markets and beyond. We are proud of our long term relationships with these reliable customers.
Mavuno also runs poultry farm, Beehives andDairy farming.
